Dr. Fred Ghali

 

Dr. Ghali has completed advanced training to become a pediatric dermatologist. He is board-certified in Pediatric Dermatology, General Pediatrics, and General Dermatology. He is an active fellow in both the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Upon completion of his dermatology residency, he served a brief interim as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. His next position was the Chief of Pediatric Dermatology (1999-2001), Cook Children's Medical Center, Ft. Worth.

In 2001, Dr. Ghali founded Pediatric Dermatology of North Texas, PA, a private practice clinic providing dermatologic care exclusively for pediatric and adolescent patients. Located in Grapevine, his office offers a central location for families in the Metroplex. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Ghali serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology at UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. He invests much of his time educating dermatology residents in Pediatric Dermatology.

Over the last decade, Dr. Ghali has been an invited speaker at a multitude of local and national CME-accredited conferences. He is very involved in the Society for Pediatric Dermatology and currently serves on the Executive Board. Additionally, he serves as a Committee Member for the Section of Dermatology with the American Academy of Pediatrics. He dedicates time to the American Academy of Dermatology annual meetings where he often lectures. Furthermore, Dr. Ghali serves on the American Board of Dermatology, Pediatric Dermatology Section.

Dr. Ghali enjoys research opportunities and exploring new advances and breakthroughs in Pediatric Dermatology. He continues to participate as a consultant and/or member of the Speakers Bureau for several pharmaceutical companies that focus on Dermatology.

He is an author of over 20 publications in peer-related journals involving Pediatrics and Dermatology. Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for dermatology journals, including Pediatric Dermatology and the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Ghali enjoys taking care of his patients and strives to build a trusting relationship with each and every family. Like every father, he strives to balance his faith, his family, and his work. He loves spending time with his wife and two sons. In his leisure, he enjoys both playing and watching a multitude of sports, particularly basketball and golf. He also enjoys reading, writing, and participating in his local church activities.

Christi Cantu, PNP (Pediatric Nurse Practitioner)

 

 

Christi Cantu brings over 10 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Pediatrics. During the last few years, she has focused her care in the field of Pediatric Dermatology. Christi is in a select group of PNPS’s specializing in Pediatric Dermatology. This has given her the opportunity to excel in this specialty.

She received her B.S. at the University of Texas at Arlington, as well as her Masters Degree in Maternal Child Nursing. Prior to being a Nurse Practioner, Christi worked as a R.N. in Pediatrics.

Christi enjoys the close relationship with her patients. She works hard to individualize a treatment regimen that is well-suited for each patient and family. Her patient feedback has been great with children and adolescents.

Christi enjoys time with her husband and daughter, as well as scrapbooking and antiquing.
